Linda Graser Hammontree

After graduation I worked for a while.  Then I moved to Chattanooga, TN. for a short time and Rimersburg, Pa. also for a short time.  Always coming back home to Vancouver after each move.

I meet my husband Ernie in Portland and we were married in 1977.  Ernie was a truck driver when I meet him and was up until 3 years ago when he retired off the road and became a Truck Driving Instructor.

We have 2 boys Clint, 23, (who followed in his Dad's foot steps and also drives truck) and Dusty, 20, (who when he turns 21 wants to get his CDL too).  I also have 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. Grandma's joys.

In 1982 we moved to Yakima, WA for 10 years. While living there I went to Beauty School and got my Cosmetology Licenses.  I have also worked retail, but I mostly stayed home with the boys while they were growing up.

When my sons got older I went back to work.  I first started out again in retail and then I went to making hotel reservations.  I work for Hilton Hotel Reservations World Wide call center here in Vancouver.  I started with the company when it was just Double Tree and Red Lion. A year after I started Promus bought them and so we added Embassy, Hampton and Homewood.  In Dec. 99 Hilton bought Promus out, so you can add Hilton to the list, for a total of 2079 hotels that I can make reservations for.  Every time there is a change you go to class and learn new computer programs and strategy.  You get to talk to a lot of people from all over, travel with them in making there reservations and help them plan there trips and vacations.  It's a good job!  I am having a good life and am enjoying watching my Children and Grandchildren grow and bring back memories of when I was growing up and when my boys were younger.

Take Care and God Bless...  Linda
