Debbie BurkeI can't believe that it has been that long ago. 1970- GED from Clark College when my daughter was six weeks old. Trina Lynn turns 30 this September. She graduates from nursing school in June of 2001. I'm so very proud of her and her accomplishments. She's a beautiful person. 1974- Married Scotty Nelson (George Nelson's older brother) 1976- Blessed with my second daughter Jenica. She turns 24 on the 26th of July. She lives in Phoenix with her fiancée. She decorates cakes and Ryan is in Restaurant management. 1978- Again I was blessed with my third daughter. Courtney is 22 and married a good Mormon man, Ried, in 1997. They are the loving parents to my adorable grandson, 2 ½ year old Garet, and granddaughter Madelyn who will be born July 17th 2000. I will be in Salt Lake City helping her when the reunion takes place. Sorry to miss the party. 1979-88 I worked at Vancouver Memorial Hospital in Labor and Delivery. 1984-remarried and had my son Christopher who is 15 going on 25. He will be in the 10th grade this fall at Battle Ground High School. He Loves to skate board, go to concerts, and is really good at being a teenager. He can't wait to drive, (I can). He is my Pride and Joy. All my kids are my favorite. 1989- Clark County as a Receptionist for WSU Coop Extension. 1994-Current- Transferred to the Clark County Weed Management Dept as an Admin Asst. We are mandated by WA State Law to enforce weed control on properties in the County. So everyone be good land stewards. It's job security for me. Everyone has weeds! I have had some hard times. But I believe and have faith that the Good Lord will not put anything on me that I can't handle. In January 1999 I met my Knight in Shining Armor. Dreams do come true. Mike asked me to marry him this last April. We haven't set a date yet, but I did bring home a BIG calendar last week. We are going to throw darts at it and the best out of three will be the date. I know we may never see 50 years together. But we cherish everyday we have. Life is good. Between the two of us we have six children. He has two sons: Bob, 21, and TJ, 23. We still have Christopher at home with us. We enjoy gardening, computer, investing stock market, woodworking, fishing and boating. Most important we enjoy being there for our Kids, and grandbabies. I wish everyone the best that life has to offer. Be good to one another. Regards, Deborah Burke (soon to be Mrs.Tischendorf) |
