Carol Wiley (White)

Wow! 30 years.  How time flies.  Doesn't it just seem like yesterday in some ways that we were all graduating?  Then, I look at my children and realize just how old I am.  :-)  I'm married to Lynn Wiley and have three grown daughters.  My oldest is married and expecting her first child the end of this month.  So, my new title will be Grandma!  That has to be one of the most exciting things in my life right now.  The other exciting thing is that two weeks ago I had a kidney transplant.  It was such an answer to prayer, we saw God work a miracle.  I was about to have to make some more changes in my dialysis which I was not looking forward to having to do.  I had been on the kidney list for only 6 months and was not expecting the call yet, as the average waiting time is 2 years and I hadn't come up for a match yet. During the week a lot of our friends were led to pray specifically for a kidney for me.  We were getting ready for a baby shower at our house when the call came for me to go to OHSU.  I couldn't let myself get excited though because I had a tooth which had been hurting and if you have any infection anywhere you don't get the transplant then.  We went in and they checked me all over.  As soon as my tooth was passed I got excited.  The operation went really well and the new kidney actually started working on the operating table.  I am now recovering and am thankful to God for answered prayers.  He is so good.  As for the summery of the last 30 years, I have been wife, helper in our own business, mother, homeschooler, and active in our church.  A very busy and fulfilling life.  I would love to hear from any of you.
