Barbara McPherson (Prince-Nugent)I have dabbled in several professions since graduating, working in insurance, a legal office, and education – in both the classroom and curriculum work. I have 3 wonderful daughters who have all become responsible, productive members of society. (What a relief!) Christy is a special education teacher, Natalie will also soon be a certified teacher, and Melinda is a certified veterinary technician who is studying to be an R.N. All are happily married to great guys. I have one grandson, Jacob who will soon be 2. He lives here in town and loves coming to grandma’s house in the country and spending time outdoors bonding with the farm animals. (Grandma recently taught him how to splash in mud puddles with his new red-rubber boots!). I have been single for the last 12 years and spent the first 10 maneuvering through the trials of single parenthood. I’m happy to say I survived with minimal post-traumatic stress! In the early 90’s I returned to the insurance field as agent/owner of a small agency here in Coos Bay which is where I am today. I am engaged to be married this summer to a great guy. (My girls and parents love him! Has to be a good sign!) We both love the outdoors and traveling and look forward to sharing many happy years together. God has been good to me over the years.
